Join us each month as we meet with Eastside residents and MTD representatives and to discuss pedestrian safety issues and bus transit services throughout Santa Barbara, Goleta and Carpinteria. Get your questions answered and submit your requests for improved transit service, bus stop lighting and safety. Translation provided.
COAST’s Eastside Walks program empowers residents in Eastside Santa Barbara neighborhoods to advocate for improved road user safety, including pedestrian improvements in street and intersection lighting, sidewalk infill, bridge widening, and transit service.
Join us for our monthly general meeting where we discuss timely and pertinent transportation issues for the region. Feel free to bring your lunch!
Join us for our monthly meeting on Vision Zero, our collaborative effort with the Santa Barbara Bicycle Coalition, to end all traffic fatalities and serious injuries.
Join us every fourth Wednesday from March thru September as COAST offers a free guided walking tour in Santa Barbara. Each month we explore a different area, with themes ranging from architecture and horticulture to history and green landscape design. With expert docents to lead us, each Walking Wednesday is educational as well as healthy, promoting more walking throughout our community! Check our Walking Wednesdays webpage for details on this and past months’ tours. Bring your comfy walking shoes and arrive early, as we leave promptly. See you on Wednesday!
