Job Descriptions:

Safe Routes to School Internship

• Part-time internship, 10-15 hours a week. Possibly more, consummate with experience.
• Paid internship, also consummate with experience. Starting rate is $12/hour
• Our Safe Routes to School Program, which promotes walking and biking to school in all Santa Barbara County Schools, is looking for an intern to support our Safe Routes to School Coordinator. Responsibilities would include putting on safety presentations for elementary school children, working with schools to keep track of statistics of kids who walk/bike, coordinating publicity and general support for Safe Routes to School events.
• Requirements – proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs, a passion for working with kids, excellent communication skills, Spanish fluency is a huge plus, but not required.
• Hours are flexible, but some morning hours are required.

Marketing/Development Internship

• Part-time internship, 10-15 hours a week.
• May or may not be paid internship, consummate with experience.
• Learn about the important role development and marketing plays in a non-profit. Would be responsible for helping our Project Director increase our outreach and visibility.
• Experience in working with other non-profits is preferred, but not required.
• Requirements – Interest and experience in Santa Barbara non-profits, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, excellent communication skills. Spanish fluency is a huge plus, but not required.
